Nancy Elizabeth Darrah
Nancy Elizabeth Darrah was born near Windsor, in Shelby County, Illinois, December 11, 1870. She grew to womanhood and was baptized in the Christian faith there.
In the year 1891, she was united in marriage to Thomas Wiley Darrah and to this union one son [Delbert] was born.
When the son was near six months old, they moved from Illinois to Wellfleet, Nebraska, moving from there to Farnam in 1896 where she made her home with her son until God called him home as the result of an accident.
Death came to her November 19, 1948 at Hastings, Nebraska, when she had reached the age of 78 years, 10 months, and 20 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. Ollie (Olivia) Clement of North Platte.
The body was brought from Hastings to the Hugo McVay funeral home in Gothenburg and then to the Farnam Methodist church where funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by Rev. Stanley Malmgren, and burial was in the Farnam cemetery.
Pallbearers were Walter Smallfoot, Claude Clement, Cliff Reynolds, Grover Widick, Lonnie Teel and Chris Gaibler.
