Virgie Mary Crossgrove
A former Farnam area resident, Virgie Mary Crossgrove, 89, of Kearney died April 14 at the home of her daughter, Louise Noble of Kearney.
She was born in Nickerson and grew up in the Farnam area. She and her late husband, Merle W. Crossgrove, had farmed in the Farnam area for several years. She later lived at Gothenburg before moving to Kearney 10 years ago.
She was a member of the Christian Non-denominational Church. Survivors include another daughter, Dorothy Mammato of Derby, Kansas; one sister, Neva Beye of Ft. Collins, CO; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday at the Farnam Cemetery with Ron Thomke officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Kearney Emergency Unit.
