Thomas C. Crampton
Thomas Cecil Crampton, son of Joseph Charles and Kathleen Fitzgerald Crampton, was born near Milan, Illinois, Aug.13, 1888, and died Aug. 18, 1946, at the age of 58 years and 5 days.
He came with his parents to Farnam when a small boy and has since made this community his home. He was baptised in the Episcopal faith and later confirmed.
On Feb. 26, 1913, he was united in marriage to Morna Grace Eggleston and to this union three daughters were born; Mrs. Marie Baker, Mrs. Valeria Messersmith and Mrs. Clara Bosch, all of Farnam. Besides his wife and daughters, there are eight grandchildren, one brother, Harold of Woodinville, Washington, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Gaudreault of Farnam, to mourn his passing. His parents, a brother and one granddaughter preceeded him in death.
The body was prepared for burial at the Chester Hugo mortuary and brought here Thursday morning where it lay in state until the time for funeral services, which were held at the Gus Gaudreault home at 2:30 that afternoon with the Rev. Fowkes of the Episcopal church officiating. Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
