Helen M. Clement May
Helen M. Clement-May. 77, of North Platte, Nebraska died Feb. 7, 1996. at Linden Manor.
She was born May 4, 1918, at Unadilla, Nebraska to William and Katherine Schwartman Russell. She moved as a child to a farm south of Farnam, Nebraska. On Aug. 29. 1935, she married Ralph W. Clement at North Platte. They owned and operated the Clement Mercantile at Farnam until 1973, when she moved to Gothenburg and worked in retail sales. Her husband died on May 24, 1971. In 1980, she moved to North Platte. She married Thomas P. May on Nov. 7, 1987, at Grand Island, Nebraska.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, St. Bridget's Guild, the Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband of North Platte; two sons, Russell (Cookie) Clement of Apollo Beach, Fla., and Roderick (Sue) Clement of Doniphan. Nebr.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Joy.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior with the Rev. Glenn Mahaffey officiating. Burial of the cremains will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Farnam Cemetery, with a luncheon following at 4 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Farnam.
Memorials have been estabblished to the church.
Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
