His early life was spent in Iowa, where he attended college

They came west and located at Farnam, where they have resided
for twenty-five years, and he has often remarked how happy they
have been here. Mr. Chitty was a very optomistic man.
He had not been in good health for a number of years but with
his great determination he was able to carry on until a few
weeks ago, when he was stricken with pneumonia from which he
could not recover.
He will be greatly missed in the community for he was a man
of charitable deeds and always willing to lend a helping hand
wherever needed.
Mr. Chitty held the position of manager of the Farnam
Co-operative association and has been faithful thru the
years.
He is survived by his wife, who has been a faithful, loving,
devoted companion to him and his son and a number of nieces and
nephews, together with a host of friends, who will mourn his
passing.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church of Farnam
at 2:00 o’clock Monday. Rev. M.S. Satchell, of Culbertson
