Mrs. S. B. Cameron Dies

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Julia Cameron at her home in Lincoln on Monday morning, at the age of 77 years. She was the widow of the late S. B. Cameron and a resident of this community for several years.

She is survived by a son, Harold, of Washington, D.C., and Senator Hugh Butler and Frank Butler are nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Farnam Methodist church at 1:30 Friday afternoon and burial will be beside her husband in the local cemetery.

Obituary


Julia Helen Wills was born at Missouri Valley, Iowa, February 4, 1868, and passed away May 13, 1946 at Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 9 days.

The family moved from Iowa to Cambridge in the late 80s.

On April 10, 1895, she was united in marriage with Spencer B. Cameron. To this union two sons were born, Harold of Washington, D.C., and Walter who passed away in 1921.

In 1907 they moved to Farnam and on April 21 of that year she had her church letter transferred to the Farnam Methodist church.

On July 10, 1943, her husband preceded her in death. The year of her widowhood she divided her time between Farnam and Washington, D.C., but for the past two years she resided in Lincoln.

Short funeral services were held in Lincoln Thursday afternoon, after which the body was brought to the Chester Hugo funeral home at Gothenburg and from there brought to Farnam Friday where services were held in the Methodist church, with Rev. McCaig officiating.

Singers were Mr. and Mrs. Dan McNickle and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pollard, accompanied by Mrs. Doris Smith at the piano.

Pallbearers were Owen Thompson, Ray Blackwood, John Rowland, Lee Hudson, Wayne Parker and Dwight Stebbins.

Interment in Farnam cemetery.
