Mrs. Henry N. Brown
Dies; Ill 7 Months

Mrs. Katherine L. Brown, 79, wife of Henry N. Brown, 102 South Chestnut street, died at 11:45 o’clock this morning in her home following an illness which had extended over a period of seven months. Last November 29, Mrs. Brown suffered a stroke of paralysis and since that time had been ill.

She was born November 19, 1858 in Downey, Ia. On February 18, 1880 she was married in Columbus City, Ia., to Mr. Brown. THey homesteaded in Frontier county, Nebraska, in 1885. Sixteen years ago they came to North Platte and since that time have made their home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary last February 18. Because of the illness of Mrs. Brown, the observance at that time was restricted.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Berton Brown of North Platte; and two daughters, Mrs. Henrietta Beisner and Mrs. Elma Haskins, both of North Platte. They also have six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church in Farnam with Rev. John Craig of Campbell, Neb., officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam cemetery. The body will lie in state at teh Maloney-Cox-Kuhns Funeral Chapel until the time of the service.
