Everett Brock Killed
Everett Brock, who has been employed by the Tri-County ditch company at Gothenburg the last few years, met an untimely death Saturday afternoon when a ditch they were preparing for drainage purposes caved in and caught he and two other workers, covering Everett completely with dirt. The other two men were rescued without injury but by the time Everett was dug out he was dead. The accident occured a few miles southeast of Gothenburg.
All his earlier life was spent at Farnam and he has many friends here who are shocked by the unfortunate accident.
He was 44 years of age and leaves a wife, the former Ceora Earhart, and three children.
Funeral services were held at the Farnam Methodist church yesterday afternoon in charge of the Hugo & McVay funeral home, with Rev. L. D. Compton and Rev. T. B. Gray officiating and burial was in the local cemetery.
