Joseph A. Britton, 53, Farnam, died at the Veteran’s Hospital, Knoxville, Iowa, Monday. He was born Oct. 29, 1917, in Sterling, Colo., graduated from Farnam High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the Burlington Railroad until 1958 when he retired due to ill health. He is a member of the American Legion in Farnam.

Survivors include one brother, Clayton, of North Platte, several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Arrangements are pending at Adams Swanson Funeral Home.
