Charles Bottita
Charles Bottita, 93, of Kingston died at Celtic Hospice, Sunday, August 13, 2017.
He was born on February 6, 1924, in Irvington, NJ to Rose (Sbarro) and Anthony Bottita. He earned his GED later in life. Served in the Army as a Paratrooper in the Philippines from 1943-1946. He was a talented craftsman setting ceramic tile for 50 years. He was also co-owner of Pacesetter Uniglobe travel, with his wife Donna.
He lived in Colonia, NJ where he was active in the American Legion, Lion’s Club of Colonia and served as County Commissioner, Housing Authority Woodbridge Township, where he was instrumental building the first Senior citizen housing! His passion was travel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna Banks Bottita; his sons, Anthony and Richard Bottita; brother Anthony Bottita and son-in-law Peter Mahalick and great granddaughter Bethany Bottita.
He is survived by his stepdaughters, Sharyl Byank, Sicklerville, NJ, Victoria Teodorescu, MD, Atlanta, GA, and Cynthia Mahalick, Dallas, PA; sister, Angela Mercandante, Las Vegas, NV; as well as, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Interment will be held in Farnam, Nebraska, next to his wife.
