Obituary Collection
Glen Andrew Blackwood

Glen Andrew Blackwood, was born June 21, 1915 at Farnam, Nebraska, and departed this life, August 28, 1931. Age 16 years, 2 months and 16 days.

The early part of his life was spent at Farnam and Ingham, Nebraska.

In 1929, he moved with his parents to Moorefield, Nebraska where his parents now reside.

Glen was taken suddenly sick Thursday, August 20th, and was taken to the hospital at Farnam, Nebraska, then was afterwards taken to the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Thrasher, where he passed away.

Glen was a member of the Moorefield Union Sunday school and often attended his class. He was also a loyal member of the Boy Scouts and had taken a great interest in the Scout work.

There are left to mourn his loss, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Blackwood, of Moorefield, Nebraska; his grandfather and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. John Blackwood, of Cordova, Nebraska; his grandfather and foster-grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Thrasher, of Farnam, Nebraska, a great number of other relatives and a host of friends.

He was laid to rest at three o'clock Sunday afternoon, August 30th in the Farnam, Nebraska cemetery. Elder E. E. Giesler, Scoutmaster officiating. Glen was a kind obedient son, a clean moral young man and good scout; we will miss him.

An unusually large crowd attended the funeral Sunday, each and all a heartfelt mourner with those who had lost. The 61 beautiful bouquets were each a tender memory of a friend.
