A very sad death occurred here last Sunday night, when Alice, the sixteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bjorling of Farnam passed away from the effects of that dread disease, tuberculosis.

This young girl was apparently enjoying good health up until last fall. She was an exceptionally bright and promising young lady and was a student of the Curtis Agricultural school.

She had to give up her studies at the college in December, and began growing weaker and worse. She was brought to Cambridge in February, where Dr. Kee treated her, but consumption having a firm grip on her, nothing further than relieve her suffering could be done for the unfortunate girl.

The remains were taken to the family home Monday, where the funeral was held Wednesday, and burial in the Farnam cemetery.

The friends and neighbors of the family extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones in their sorrow.

Died Sunday Night

Miss Alice Bjorling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bjorling, passed away Sunday night at the Cambridge hospital. The remains were taken to the Bjorling home south of Farnam Monday where the funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J. N. Smith, pastor of the Lone Star Church. Interment at Farnam Cemetery.

Alice Bjorling was born in Kearney County, Nebraska, February 11th, 1899, where she lived until the spring of 1907 when she moved with her parents nine miles southwest of Farnam.

She was taken sick when she returned home from Curtis for her Christmas vacation and was under the doctor's care at Cambridge from February 11th up to the time of her death, April 18th, 1915.

She suffered greatly during the last few weeks but was very patient with it all. She gave herself to her Savior on Wednesday before she died and from that time longed for Him to carry her into a far better home where there would be no suffering and where she could wait and welcome all the rest.

She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, four sisters and two brothers, all of which were present at the funeral except Augusta of California; Carl of Sterling, Colorado and Mrs. Judith Johnson of Ely, Minnesota.
