Obituary of Henry G. Beye
Henry G. Beye, well known Farnam resident, passed away at his home here Monday afternoon, after an illness of several months, with heart trouble and other diseases. He had been somewhat improved for the past several weeks and was even able to be out in the yard last Friday. Saturday he took worse and Sunday afternoon about 4 o’clock he bacame critically ill and Dr. Reeves was called. He continued to suffer and never regained consciousness after Sunday evening.
Henry G. Beye was born April 23, 1855 in Chicago, Ill., and departed this life Febr. 6, 1928 at his home in Farnam, Nebr., age 72 years, 9 months and 14 days.
When but a lad of 13, he moved with his parents to Marshalltown, Ia., and moved to Hebron, Nebr., in the spring of 1884. In 1885 he was united in marriage to Caroline Beisner, to this union were born three children, one of whom preceeded him in death.
Mr. Beye and his family moved to Frontier county in the fall of 1899 and settled on a farm south of town where they made their home until about eight years ago when they moved to Farnam and where they have since made their home.
Mr. Beye was a good neighbor and a kind and loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Herman and Arthur, two grandchildren, four brothers, one sister and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. Seick from the M. E. church Wednesday at 2: p.m. and interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
A precious one from us had gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled;
God in His wisdom has recalled,
The boon His love has given;
And though his body slumbers here,
The soul is save in Heaven.
