Arvid B. Banks, 90, died Wednesday, April 29, at Gothenburg. He was born June 29, 1896, at Campbell, in Webster Co., Nebr., to Swan and Laura Marie Bringleson Banks.

His entire life was lived in the Farnam-Gothenburg areas. On May 21, 1935, he married Madora Fern Brooks of Farnam.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Farnam.

Preceding him in death were his wife in 1983, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one sister, Mabel Walters of Blakely, Ga.; and other relatives.

Services for Arvid B. Banks were Friday at the United Methodist Church in Farnam with the Rev. Robert Wigert officiating. Music was by Tom Oberg, Ervin Hess, Vernon Magee, Les Beck and Donna Hazen.

Pallbearers were Kent and Gary Davis, Orville Gaibler, Russell and Brad Williams and Steve Reeves. Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the donor's choice.

McVay Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
