OBITUARY
Myrtle May Baker was born at Red Oak, Iowa, October 6, 1888, and departed this life March 24, 1951, at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 18 days.
When a young girl she moved to Ord, Nebraska, where she lived for several years, then moved to Farnam and it was here she was united in marriage to Bert H. Baker October 18, 1911. To this union two boys were born; Lawrence of Farnam and Ray of Columbus.
About 14 years ago she moved to Hastings, where she resided until her death. During this time Mr. Baker lived in the Gothenburg and Cozad communities.
She joined the Baptist church in Farnam while a young girl and remained a member for many years.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, two sons, brothers, Frank Preston of Farnam and Willis Preston of North Platte; one sister Bertha Adams of Doniphan, six grandchildren, two nephews, two nieces and numerous friends.
Funeral services in charge of the Olesen Funeral Home were Monday at the Baptist church with Rev. S. Malmgren officiating. The music was by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sukraw and Mrs. Jay Rice. Pallbearers were Charley Pollard, Ray Blackwood, Owen Thompson, Hugo Blomquist, Claude Clement and John Rowland. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
