OBITUARY Sunday Morning
After a lingering illness Mrs. Robert S. Armitage passed away Sunday afternoon, October 30, 1932 at her home near Stockville.
Lola Morris Murphy, daughter of Zachariah and Emily Murphy was born August 25, 1870, in Humansville, Missouri. Moving with her parents to Arkansas in the 70’s. She was married to Robert Shelley Armitage at Harrison, Arkansas, November 2, 1890, moving to Nebraska in 1915.
Born to this union were eight children, Mrs. Lena Youree, Stockville, Mrs. Franklin Workman, Farnam, Joseph of Sarben, Shelley Jr. of Glenns Ferry, Idaho, Mrs. Mildred Miller of Farnam, Paul of Stockville, Maurice of Monida, Montana and Stewart at home. All of the children were at their mother’s bedside at the time of her demise except Maurice, who was unable to come.
Rev. Britton, of Indianola, conducted the services at the home on Monday afternoon. Burial was made in the Farnam cemetery.
She was a faithful member of the M. E. Church of Harrison, Arkansas. She will be missed sadly in the Sunday School of the neighborhood in which she loved to work and by all the neighbors who loved her for her gentle kindness.
The sincere sympathy of the friends go out to the bereaved husband and children in their great loss.
