Joseph W. Armitage, 84, of Greeley, Colo., died Sunday, March 8, 1981.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph Melvin Armitage, Norfolk, and Robert Dale Armitage, Cheyenne, Wyo.; three daughters, Wilma (Mrs. Bill) Buss, Gothenburg, Donna (Mrs. Dennis) Ohnoutka, Lincoln, and Helen (Mrs. Roger) McWilliams, Canon City, Colo.; brother, Stewart Armitage, Orafino, Idaho, and a sister, Mildred Miller, Hammond, La.; 23 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 at the McVay Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
