Victor Anderson
Victor Anderson was born March 21, 1863 at Ostergothland, Sweden, and departed this life January 22, 1926 age 62 years, 10 months and one day.
At the age of 18 years he came, in May 1883, to Brady Island and made his home with his cousins, John and Frank Erickson. In the early part of the ’s he filed upon a homestead about six miles northwest of Farnam. He has, until death claimed him, resided upon this place struggling thru the droughts and privations that go with life in a new country. Mr. Anderson was, among the few living on his original homestead in this neighborhood.
On April 6, 1903 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Teel. To this union was born one child, a daughter, Florence Minnie.
He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his beloved wife and daughter, two sisters, Hulda and Tilda, five brothers, Anton, John, Hilding, Hanning and Emil Anderson, all residing in Sweden, two cousins, John and Frank Erickson and families of Gothenburg, and a host of very dear friends and neighbors.
Victor, as everyone knew him, was a kind and loving husband and father a good honest man and neighbor and above all a great lover of his home and a believer and student of his Bible, of which he was a consistent follower.
All the care that loving hands could administer, was given him during the few hours he suffered intensely of acute indigestion.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2: o’clock from the M. E. church, with, Rev. J. E. Craig, of the Congregational church officiated at the service. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
