Jacob F. Albrecht Passes Away at Cambridge Hospital

The sad news came last Friday afternoon of the death of Jacob Albrecht at the Cambridge hospital where he was taken Wednesday for an appendicitis operation.

The many relatives and friends are greatly grieved in the loss of Mr. Albrecht and he will be greatly missed in our community.

Jacob F. Albrecht was born in Platte county, near Columbus, Nebr. on January 28, 1877 and departed this life at the Republican Valley hospital in Cambridge on September 13, 1929, at the age 52 years, 7 months and 15 days.

In 1884, he moved with his parents to Frontier county where he grew to manhood, and thirteen years ago came to Farnam with his own family where he spent the remainder of his life.

In 1907, he was united in marriage to Miss Etta Parker of Farnam and to this union three children were born, Beulah Rose who died in infancy, Francis Jay and Viola May who survive their father.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his faithful wife, two children, two brothers, Mike of Omaha and John of Delmont, South Dakota, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Jake was always known among his friends, as a consistent christian man, a worthy friend and neighbor, and one who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. At the time of his death he was a faithful member of the Farnam Episcopal church, k and has always been an energetic worker in church and civic life of his home community.

Funeral services were held from the community hall at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Robert Johnson, Episcopal minister from Arapahoe in charge and the remains were laid to rest in the Farnam Cemetery.
