President Is Dead
Word was received here early this morning of the sudden death of President Warren G. Harding, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California.
President and Mrs. Harding had just recently returned from their trip to Alaska and upon arriving in the states again he became ill. Mr. Harding’s condition was thought to be much improved yesterday morning and he was listening to his wife read, when he was attacked with apoplexy and died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 1923. The entire nation is mourning its loss.
