Moorefield Man Seriously Injured in Runaway

Henry Baker, who lives west of Moorefield, was seriously injured when his team ran away on Friday, June 23. He had just put on a load of cobs at the Con Sears farm north of Moorefield and was preparing to start home when the team was frightened and started to run. Mr. Baker was thrown from the wagon and two wheels passed over his body, causing serious injuries. Mr. Baker recently lost an eye when a nail which he was driving flew up and struck him in the eye.
