Moorefield Man Loses Eye

Monday noon, as Henry Baker went to drive a nail, the nail flew, hitting him in the eye and staying there. When the nail was removed it was evident that the sight was gone. Dr. Bogen of Farnam was called and thought it advisable for Mr. Baker to go to Dr. Gifford at Omaha. Word was received Tuesday that an operation might not be necessary, but he would take treatment first. Although the sight is lost, it is hoped that the eye will not have to be removed.—The Eagle Reporter.
