Commencement Exercises To Be Tonight
Today marks the termination of another school year, and Commencement exercises tonight, will launch ten Alumni of F. H. S. into the busy world of tomorrow. Full well do we hope that they will take advantage of every worthwhile opportunity, and build their lives to make for the bigger and better things in the world.
Humanity’s most urgent call today, is for men and women who have visions of life’s nobler ways, and the fundamentals of a character of this kind are gained for the education obtained in your youth. May their education never fail them and the principals gained there from be a guiding light from which they will never turn.
George A. Martin, President of the State Teachers college at Kearney will deliver the Commencement address tonight, and the following students will receive their diploma: Yvonne Guerin, Alverda Lydic, Gladys Teel, Anna Velte, Richard Reeves, Harlan Stewart, Fordyce Kerr, Ralph McNickle, Lyal Beck, and Clayton Tillotson.
Baccaulerate services were held in the Community Hall Sunday evening and Rev. W. W. Crabtree, pastor of the Baptist church delivered a beautiful address of love and guidance to the class.
