7,000 Witness Farnam Game

Farnam’s Football Team defeated the Stockville Gridsters Wednesday to a score of 13 to 0 on the Stockville gridiron, before a crowd estimated at seven thousand.

There was not much high class playing in this game as neither team had had sufficient training this early in the season.

The locals playing consisted mostly of straight football on account of not having time to work up to the standard they expect to reach within a short time. This game gave the Farnam team a good solid try-out and will put them in shape to meet the Gothenburg squad on the Gothenburg field Friday, the 26th.
