Lions Club Gets Charter

The newly organized Farnam Lions Club held their Charter Night program and banquet at the school auditorium Tuesday and the affair was attended by the members and their families, representatives of service clubs at Eustis, Gothenburg and North Platte and some invited guests, in addition to District Governor Robin R. Reid of Lincoln who presented the charter to the organization and gave a short talk.

The program, under the supervision of John Rowland as toastmaster, consisted of the singing of God Bless America by Mardel Hudson, invocation by Rev. Mitchell, a monologue by Miss Patricia Rowland, clarinet solo by Ramona Mitchell, talks by Dr. Reeves, H. S. Cameron, President Wayne Parker and members of the different visiting delegates, and much singing by every one.

The banquet was served by members of the Methodist ladies organization.
