From Private Reeves
Deming, N.M. Sept. 19, 1917.
Dear Friend:
We arrived in Deming all O.K. Monday night but did not unload until Tuesday morning. We are pretty busy just now setting up tents and grading our company streets.
It has been raining here all day and the mud is about two inches deep in our street, but we plow right through just the same.
We had a nice trip down here. There were five companies on our train, which had 33 coaches and the officers’ car.
Well I must close as it is about mess time. I will try and write more next time.
Respectfully yours,
Frank N. Reeves
