Local Golf Course Will Be Re-opened

G. W. Pollard has taken charge of the local Golf Grounds and is having the greens cleaned off and fairways mowed this week so that the course will be in good condition for playing by the end of the week. All members who have paid their dues for the season are eligible to play at leisure. Mr. Pollard has also put up a prize of $5.00 to the one making the best score between now and the closing of the season.

These scores should be verified by some reliable person and then to we all know that golf is a clean game and should be played clean. We are sure no good sportsman would be unfair in the counting of his drives because you would really be cheating yourself, and taking honors which you did not earn. This is a prize which you can earn so let’s all go down and make a few rounds and get acquainted with the course.
