Rural Fire District Organized

The Farnam Rural Fire District carried 100 percent by the voters present at the organization meeting last Thursday evening at the Legion hall. There was only 32 eligible voters at the meeting.

Although there was some objections voiced in the early stages of planning the district there was not a single negative vote. Therefore, the Farnam Rural Fire District was established.

After the organization meeting was held, officers were elected. Those being elected were:
Charlie Davis, pres, 2 year term
Wayne Thomsen, V pres, 1 year term
Robert A. Zeeh, sec-treas, 2 year term
Ed Krone, director, 2 year term
Herb Messersmith, director, 1 year term
