Killed By Lightning

Winnie Workman, who resided with his family on a farm about twelve miles south of Farnam, was instantly killed Monday afternoon when struck by lightning while working in the field.

As he was alone in the field at the time, particulars are not too well known, but when a son went to the field to call him for supper he was found sitting on the tractor seat in a slumped position. The lightning had struck him on top of his head. The tractor had stopped running.
