Home Coming Celebration Huge Success
The soldiers and sailors homecoming celebration Tuesday evening was a huge success.
Despite the fact that the roads in the country were practically impassable on account of the snow, and the wind was blowing, with the thermometer registering close to zero, the I.O.O.F. hall was filled to its capacity to show the returned soldiers and sailors a good time, which was done to a queen’s taste.
An excellent program was prepared with plenty of good eats thrown in.
The program consisted of music, reading and speaking. The welcome address was ably delivered by Mrs. H. T. McNickle, Dr. A. E. Reeves address, “Was it worth what we paid,” was especially worthy of mention.
Refreshments were served to 240 people.
