Max Golay Drowns in Gothenburg Lake

Max Golay, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Golay of this place was drowned in the Gothenburg lake Sunday evening about 6 o’clock. He had stopped there with his parents for a short time and went in swimming, to gain relief from the heat. Max went out beyond his depth and as there was no on near who could swim disappeared before anyone arrived who could rescue him. Men from Gothenburg came out to the lake and by diving were able to recover the body about half an hour later.
