Grasshopper Poisoning Day

Weather conditions permitting all farmers getting poison bran for grasshoppers are urged to set aside Saturday, June 19th, and poison grasshoppers all over Dawson county.

Those cutting alfalfa should leave strips and put poison in these and around stacks. Poison should be put out before nine o’clock in the morning.

Bran has been received for two carloads of poison. It is being mixed and will be distributed over the county. It will be necessary for farmers desiring this poison to have an order from the county agent’s office. This poison is mixed ready to use and should be spread immediately.

If this poison is intelligently spread there should be much good received from it, County Agent Adams, states.
