A Whopper

What is said to be the largest public sale ever cried in this vicinity occurred last Tuesday at the P. C. Oberg farm southeast of Farnam and consisted of livestock, implements, etc. This sale brought the seller $23,600*, and there was quite a few head of stock left. It is estimated that at least 600 people were present.

*$23,600 adjusted for inflation to 2018 would be $542,500.
