From Our Sailors (Brown)
"Somewhere in England,"
Jan. 19, 1918.
Dear Mother:
I am somewhat further from home than I expected to be at this time. We have been at sea for 20 days, had good luck so far. We are laying at anchor now, and will be here a few days, then I don’t know where we will go, but am aiming on getting back to the United States about the middle of next month.
It has been snowing here some. All the land we can see is two big mountains at the rear of us.
Will close, hoping this finds you well.
As ever,
Orlie K. Brown.
