Volunteers in Farnam and vicinity, who are enlisted in the Fifth Regiment received orders Sunday to report for duty. The regulars were ordered to report at Gothenburg at 8 o’clock Monday morning, while members of the hospital corps were ordered to report at Lincoln Sunday, but for some reason they did not receive word until late Sunday afternoon, consequently could not leave Farnam until Monday morning.
