Necessary and needed were the ORGANIZATIONS of Farnam
ANCIENT ORDER OF WORKMEN
This was an organization that had a hall over the Best Place for its meetings. This was one of the first organizations of Farnam. H. N. Stilley, E. W. Crossgrove, and R. S. V. Caley were members. There were other members, however, there are no old records available.
The farmers had an organization that was somewhat similar to the Farmer's Co-Operative Associations of today back in 1888 or 1889. It was called the Farmer's Alliance. It was organized by the pioneers for their mutual benefit. It was well supported by the pioneers for there were about fifty charter members.
FEDERATED WOMEN’S CLUB
There was a Federated Women’s Club in Farnam. It was still active in 1949. However, it has disbanded and little information could be found about it.
