Funeral services were held at the Congregational church here Sunday, Feb. 17, for Mrs. Lorena Miller, who passed away Feb. 14 at the home of her son, Lloyd, at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 23 days. Interment was made beside her husband at Trenton, Nebr.

Lorena Belle Cooperrider was born at Glendford, Ohio on March 22, 1878. At the age of 12 she came to Trenton, Nebr., with her parents and two brothers. There she grew to womanhood and on Christmas day, 1898, was united in marriage to Joe Miller of Trenton, who preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1937.

To this union were born seven children: Ivan of Red Cloud; Jay and Lloyd of Curtis; Marion of Maxwell; Newton of Greeley, Colo.; Mrs. Derwood of Schrothberger, and Mrs. Cyrus Coykendall of Kankakee, Ill., all of whom survive.

She also leaves 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild and two brothers, Dillon of Greeley, Colo., and Albert of Arcata, Calif., and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

At an early age she was confirmed into the Lutheran church and was steadfast throughout her life in her belief of the Christian way of life.
