Thomas A. Brown
Thomas A. Brown was born at New Hope, Ohio, February 18, 1858, and died at his home in Brady, Nebr., February 15, 1939, at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 18 days.
At the age of eight years he, with his parents moved to Missouri, and in 1885 he move to Chelsea, Kansas, where he united in marriage to Mary E. Hobbs on Sept. 27, 1885. In 1886 he homesteaded in Lane county, Kansas, and in the year 1894 moved to Nebraska, where he spent the remainder of his life.
He was baptized into the Church of the Brethren in 1893.
His wife and one daughter preceded him in death.
Those left to mourn his departure are two sons, Elwood of Moorefield, and Ernest of Brady, Nebr.; Mrs. Ora Roberts of Arapahoe, Colo.; 16 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Two daughters, Viola and Mrs. Tishie Hill, preceded him.
He also leaves a host of friends, for he had many friends, who will miss him from their midst.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from the Methodist church in Brady. Rev. W. H. Hendrickson, officiating. Burial was in the Eustis cemetery.
