Gladys (Hines) (Hoffman) Cox
Gladys G. Cox, 97, of Grand Island died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Beverly Health Care-Park Place. Private family gravesides service will be held. There will be no visitation. Her remains were cremated. Kleine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Gladys was born April 27, 1906 in Worth, MO, the daughter of William and Mary (Burnett) Hines. She did a lot crocheting and loved horse races, playing cards, and loved her special dog named, "Nubbins".
Gladys is survived by one grandson, Greg Hoffman, and his wife Linda, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one granddaughter, Linda Bird of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and one great-granddaughter, Stacey M. Hoffman and one sister, Genevieve Hines of Omaha, NE.
She did a lot of crocheting, loved horse races and playing cards, and loved her special dog names Nubbins.
Gladys was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd R. Hoffman; one grandson, Lawrence E. Hoffman; three brothers, Raymond, Howard, and Erv; and three sisters, Catherine, Mabel, and Georgia. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Lloyd Richard Hoffman who died 16 Dec 1957. Her second husband Bert C. Cox died in August 1974.
