Jerome H. Miller
Jerome “Jerry” H. Miller, of 3038 Vista Street, died unexpectedly of a heart attack while purchasing a newspaper at the stand, 2947 East Broadway, yesterday afternoon. He was born October 14, 1885, in Elroy, Wis., and would have marked his fifty-seventh birthday next week. He lived for a time in Portland, Ore., coming to Long Beach in 1926. He was a carpenter by trade and belonged to Long Beach Local of the Carpenters Union.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nona G. Miller; a son, Carl Miller, United States Navy; a stepson, William Brown, North Platte, Neb.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Patterson & Snively. Rev. Rex B. Barr of the Temple of Christian Comradeship will officiate.
