Edna L. (Parker) Preston
Edna L. Preston, 85, of 920 North Ash, died at a North Platte nursing home Monday night. She was born August 18, 1884, at Claypool, Ind., and moved to Farnam as a small child.
She lived in Farnam for several years prior to moving to the Dickens area. She had lived in North Platte since the 1940’s.
Her husband, Willis R. Preston, preceded her in death on July 10, 1957.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd Preston, Alma; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Iola) Edington, San Lorenzo,Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Albrecht, Plattsmouth; Mrs. Mae Stauffer, Farnam; and Mrs. Ruby Stinnette, Herndon, Kan.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Berean Fundamental Church.
Services were at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Berean Fundamental Church with Dr. Ivan E. Olsen officiating.
Music was provided by Mrs. Inez Maline and Dennis Fogland.
Pallbearers were Roy Havens, Charles Hendricks, Clarence Hendricks, Larry Henry, Pierre Hocquell, Floyd McCall, Jr., and Phil Nolda.
Burial in the North Platte Cemetery with Adams and Swanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The casket will not be open following the service.
