Ronald Hemphill

Ronald Hemphill, 53, of Brady died Saturday in a Gothenburg hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1927 in Oconto.

He had been superintendent of Brady schools for three years until he resigned last summer.

He was a graduate of Kearney State College, and had taught and coached for the past 27 years in a number of Nebraska schools

He was a World War II veteran, and a member of the Overton Masonic Lodge, Tehama Shrine Temple of Hastings, Eastern Star, Callaway VFW, Brady Lions Club and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Constance; two sons, Gary of Altoona, Iowa and Randy of Oconto; one daughter, Tanya of Denver; his mother, Lulu Hemphill of Oconto; one brother, Dr. Richard Hemphill of Yuma, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

A 1 p.m. service will be held Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Oconto. Graveside services at Ft. McPherson Cemetery, Maxwell, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Military rites will be conducted by the Gothenburg Firing Squad.
