Doris A. Harlan

Doris A. Harlan, 84, of Lexington died Friday at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.

She was born December 15, 1913 at Farnam to John and Arabella (Weir) Roberts.

Doris graduated from Farnam High School and went on to attend Teacher’s College in Kearney. She taught rural school in Buffalo.

She was married to Harold Harlan on October 24, 1939. The couple lived in Idaho Springs, Colo., where Doris worked as a waitress and numerous other places.

She was active in the Navy Mother’s of Idaho Springs, Colo., and a member of the Elks Club.

The couple moved to Lexington in 1993.

Survivors include two sons and wives: Raymond and Dorothy Feddersen of Lexington; Kenneth and Mariann Harlan of Lexington, Kent.; a brother, Lawrence Roberts of Richland, Wash.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994, one daughter, Dianne, four brothers and four sisters: Cecil, Gladys, Johnny, Olive, Rachel, Winifred, Eldon and Harry.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Howard Bailey officiating.

The body will be cremated. There will be no visitation.
