Lillian Ruth Dishman, age 81, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 27, 2014, at her home.
She was born on June 7, 1932, in Moorefield, Neb., to Elwood and Lillybell (Stephens) Brown who preceded her in death. In her younger days, she lived with the family at Farnam, Ne and graduated from Farnam High School in 1949. Lillian was employed at the Grand Island bomb factory as an assembly worker. She was also a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil and their son, Clinton.
Lillian is survived by her sons, Virgil Dishman, Jr. and Wendell Dishman; daughter, Joni Kay Hovey and husband, John; grandchildren, Patrick, Nicholas, Skylar, Chase, and Zachary; great granddaughter, Alyssa; sisters, Rosemary Kostman and Juanita Lynch; brothers, Ken, Vernon, and Tom Brown.
It was Lillian's wish to be cremated and there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial services will be Monday, at 1 p.m., at Epworth United Methodist Church, 2447 Avenue B, Council Bluffs.
