Obituary Collection
Gertrude P. Bringelson

Services for Gertrude P Bringelson will be at 2 p.m Monday at the Banner United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Coates officiating. Burial will be in the Peckham Cemetery.

Mrs. Bringelson, 69, died Friday at a Kearney hospital. She was born April 3, 1920, south of Farnam to Lewis and Lulu Anderson Hayworth. She was raised and attended school near Farnam. She married John Bringelson Dec. 26, 1939, at Red Cloud. They lived in the Gothenburg and Farnam areas.

She was a member of the Banner United Methodist Church. She worked as a cook for Gothenburg businesses for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband, John O. of Gothenburg; a son, John R. and wife Judy of Gothenburg; four daughters, Carol (Mrs. Robert) Meyer of Lexington, Karen (Mrs. Roy) White of Gillette, Wyo., Marilyn (Mrs. Richard) Wellensick of Golden, Colo. and Nancy (Mrs. Terry) Werner of Cozad; a brother, Lester, and his wife Mae, Hayworth of Oxnard, Calif.; two sisters, Nona (Mrs. Louis) Klein of Farnam and Darlene ( Mrs. Clark) Klooz of Sargent; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister and twin grandsons.

Memorials have been established to the Gothenburg Rescue Squad, the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

McVay Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
