Mae E. Wear, 75, died Saturday, May 27, 1989, at a Cozad nursing home. She was born Jan. 27, 1914, in Bertrand to Walter and Emma Slater Donner. She grew up on a farm south of Farnam. She married Carl Wear Aug. 30, 1935, in Elwood. They made their home in Cheyenne, Wyo., for a short time before returning to the Farnam area.

Mrs. Wear attended the Methodist Church in Farnam.

Survivors include three sons, Estel of Gothenburg, Larry of Lexington and Darrel of Omaha; two daughters, Lynda (Mrs. Sam) Smith of Nevada, Mo., and Arlene (Mrs. Dave) Lorow of Lexington; a brother, Argil Donner of Farnam; a sister, Waunetta Chrisman of Gothenburg; 33 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McVay Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg with the Rev. Dale Coates of the Branburg United Methodist Parish officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery. A memorial has been established.

McVay Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
