Sarah E. Walker
Miss Sarah E. Giddings was born at Brussells, Ontario, Canada, Dec. 10,
1853. She was united in marriage to Archibald Walker on Nov. 19, 1870.
It is not known just what year they came to Nebr., but they have lived in
Farnam since 1893. Mr. Walker proceeded his wife to that better land in
1910. Since that time Mrs. Walker has been living with relatives and
friends and was making her home with Mrs. A. Woods at the time of her death.
Mrs. Walker has been in failing health for the past several months and a
short time ago she contracted the epidemic that has been in the community
for the past several weeks, and not being strong of body could not withstand
the disease. She passed from this life to the home of her Heavenly Father
May 8th, 1925 at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 28 days.
Mrs. Walker has been a member of the Methodist Church for a number of years
and has lived a life consistent with her profession.
She leaves to mourn her departure, one son, Raymond of Lincoln, Nebr. and a
sister, Mrs. Coon of Brady, Nebr., and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm
conducted by Rev. George Seick, pastor of the church and interment was made
in the Farnam Cemetery.
