OBITUARY
MRS. JAY RICE

Virginia Mae Williams, daughter of Clyde C. and Maude Williams, was born in Eustis, Nebraska, April 16, 1907 and passed away September 28, 1956 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

She was united in marriage to Jay L. Rice on September 18, 1924 and they were engaged in song evangelism for a few years and then made their home in Wichita, Kansas for three years. Since 1933 they have lived on a farm south of Farnam, Nebraska.

They have one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Sukraw of Maxwell, Nebraska one son, Earl of Farnam, and three grandchildren, Duane and Kent Sukraw and Janet Rice.

Virginia was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene for many years. As a young girl she accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour and He was her constant companion through all her life. Her deepest desire was His will for her life and even when her suffering was most intense her prayer was always, “Have Thine own way, Lord. Make me a blessing to someone today.”

Surviving are her husband, her children and grandchildren, her father, C. C. Williams of Riverdale, Calif. three sisters, Mrs. Geneva Hart of Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Doris Rhoades of Sunnymead, Calif.; Mrs. Lois Fleming of San Fernando, Calif.; Five brothers, Cecil of Harlingen, Texas; Wayne of Farnam; Donald of Moorhead, Minnesota; Dale of Miyaka Jima in the Pacific, and Russell of Cambridge, Nebraska. Her mother and one brother, Billy, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted in the Church of the Nazarene at Farnam by Rev. Whitcomb Harding of Hastings assisted by Rev. George Cravens, pastor, Rev. T. P. Dunn assisted in prayer. Music by Mrs. Charley Davis and Mr. David Banks sang Saved by Grace, Will the Circle be Unbroken, and Take My Hand Precious Lord, Mrs. Raymond Smith, Pianist. Pallbearers were Delmer Cole, Clarence Oberg, Harold Lehman, Ralph Jurjens, Truman Barrett, Clyde Gardner.

Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
