Funeral services for Henry Nickerson were held Monday, April 30, 2 o'clock p.m. at the McVay-Olesen Chapel, with Reverend Clarence W. Buehler of the First Methodist Church officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Deloras Nickerson and Mrs. Audrey Kotschwar, accompanied by Mrs.Doris Smith. Pallbearers were George Mann, Lloyd Stott, Jim Speck, Arthur Waller, Gifford Booth and Marvin Jensen. Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.

Henry Nickerson was born March 18, 1894 at Curtis and passed away at Gothenburg, April 27, 1962. He is survived by his wife, Pearl; two sons, Howard LaVerne of Seneca, Illinois, and Jearold of Portland, Oregon; four daughters, Dorothy Helin of Japan, Pauline Makinster of Red Cloud, Opal McWha of Gothenburg and Kathleen Nickerson of Red Cloud; eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was 68 years old.
