John Miller, a former resident of Farnam, passed away Sunday at Hastings.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Farnam Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. Internment will be in the Farnam Cemetery.

John H. Miller was born April 11, 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Miller, at Rippey, Iowa. He passed away December 31, 1962 at Hastings, Nebraska. In 1890 Mr. Miller moved west with his parents and settled on a farm south of Farnam. He made his life’s work of the farm. He moved into the town of Farnam in 1915 and then to Hastings in 1933.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters. He is survived by 13 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the Farnam Baptist Church with Rev. Alden Lynch officiating. Mrs. Pansy Piersol and Mrs. Mildred Adkisson sang accompanied by Mrs. Doris Smith. Pallbearers were: Ralph Parker, Frank Preston, Charley Davis, E. B. Lewis, Clyde Kotschwar and M. Enevoldsen.

Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery.
